I’m a programmer in the R&D department. I mainly research and implement simulations and rendering techniques for the in-house engine. Some of my previous works are the simulation of hair and the rendering of landscapes. These new features were programmed for several platforms (PC, PS4, smartphones, etc.).
As part of my job, I also have to create tools, which makes it necessary to closely cooperate with artists and game development teams.
The knowledge of C++, GPU programming as well as skills in mathematics and physics are necessary for my job. Due to the quickly evolving industry, it is essential to constantly study and research the newest technologies.
The reason I work at tri-Ace is that I am allowed to research technologies rather than just developing games. However, it is gratifying to see, that the game development teams are using my technologies to make better games.
I like people with a passion to learn and who are also willing to teach others their knowledge.

I like to work with an in-house engine because it gives me more freedom to implement my ideas. I am also thankful for the support during my move to Japan and for the constant support to learn the Japanese language.
